Light Up A Life 2021

Every year in December, Coastal Home Health and Hospice hosts a celebration called “Light Up A Life”. 

This is a chance for you to set aside some time to remember and reminisce about those who have passed on before us. Perhaps it was a relative, a friend, or even someone who inspired you but you may have never met in person. 

Hospices all around the world also host their own Light Up A Life Ceremonies. Most involve lighting candles or a similar light in honor of the loved ones who have passed. And some organizations, like ours, also choose to honor our community’s first responders by allowing their loved ones to also place a light in their name. 

Coastal Home Health is also selling beautiful etched ornaments that feature your loved one’s name and the years they graced the earth with their presence. We will also be hosting a calligrapher at our event who can personalize ornaments for you while you watch. 

This year, our Light Up A Life Ceremony will be at our brand new office located at 585 5th Street in Brookings on December 19th at 4 PM. It is free for everyone to attend, and all proceeds raised from lights, ornaments, and donations will go to support providing hospice care to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
